Welcome to the club web page for the Bushi Kempo Ju-Jitsu Academy South West, Western Australia.
This page has been set up to allow interested persons to find out more about us and to give our current student base a resource for current news and events.
The South West Academy is headed by Sensei Kurt Normington.
 Sensei Kurt joined the BKJJA in 1995 and achieved 1st Dan status in 2001. He began his training under Sensei Steve Theobald (3rd Dan Bushi Kempo, 2nd Dan Goju Ryu Karate Do). Sensei Kurt turned to Shihan Ian Mason (6th Dan Bushi Kempo, National Director) for training and travels to the Academy HQ on almost a weekly basis to keep his skills tuned. Sensei Kurt has also resumed training with Sensei Steve for advancement in weapons training.
In 2000 Kurt moved to Scottsdale, Northern Tasmania, with his wife Deanne due to an employment oppportunity. Whilst there he opened up a club under the BKJJA banner and it is still running succesfully today. Kurt also assisted members of the greater association (BKJA) in Southern Tasmania and still arranges visits on a regular basis.
In 2002 Kurt moved back to Western Australia and currently teaches at his dojo's full time in Eaton and Dalyellup, near Bunbury.
